About a year ago I had someone make artwork for me to replace the black and green logo I had started with. The art was wonderful but I never got around to using it. Yesterday, some events helped move me along to switching. As some of you know I’m going to Macworld 2010 – along with the trip I wanted to have some business cards with the podcast info on it to hand out, as well as a few shirts with the logo to wear. Hey, I’m proud of the podcast! Well cafe press wouldn’t accept my green and black logo since it had the apple logo in it, a very valid excuse – so I thought it was time to change into the new logos.

It’s been a long and busy week for me. But I was excited today to receive my copy ofMacSpeech Dictate. I plan on doing a full review for my podcast, but in the meantime I am playing around with it. In fact I’m using it to write this blog post. While not the most intuitive to use right off the bat. I can see how this will definitely increase the speed at which I will create text documents. Also I have reloaded my 13 inch MacBook I will be using that as a clean platform to use while creating my Mac 101 podcast series.

I am wondering if I should separate my Mac 101 series out from my normal podcast and resume doing intermediate to advanced subjects and creating another feed for the Mac 101 series. I realize my last podcast was a little simple for my average listener. I would appreciate some feedback on this to find out what you, the listener feels.

In fact any kind of feedback from you would be wonderful as to what subject you want to see in the podcast, or any questions you have that I may assist you with.

Been so busy lately between work, school and family events – I’ve been all over the states of Iowa and Illinois. My hope is to finally get caught up on everything so I can get a new episode of the podcast out.

On another note I finally purchased the domain matthillyer.com and will be using that to forward to my mobile me account. From there I will have a personal blog detailing what is going on in my life and where you can find me. This blog will detail information on the podcast as well as technical tid bits. Now that I’ve put out 7 episodes of the podcast I’m looking more more feedback from my listeners. I realize it’s not the most popular podcast, but I do know I have listeners, and from several countries around the world. I’m thinking of doing more detailed podcasts on a specific product or theme each week. Right now I’m doing a theme for each episode but it’s not too focused on how to use one particular tool or software package. I’m also thinking of doing more screencasts, I’ve recently purchased Final Cut Express so that my editing looks more polished. I’m doing some cleaning up here – updating the main site, and the blog. I’m pretty comfortable on how the forum is looking – had a lot of help there from Gewalt. Episode 4 has been released and I’m looking for ideas on what episode 5 will be. I am also working on another virtual machine episode, there is so much to cover that the first podcast was just not enough.
